We are officially and military family!!!!!

For anyone who doesn't already know Brandon joined the Air Force, and left for basic training on July 20th. We started the process of looking into the military about a year ago. Then 3 months ago we got the call that Brandon had a job assignment and was scheduled for basic training. It has been a whirlwind 3 months for us both. Although I am excited about our new life I am also terrified about all the unknowns! Aside from being sad that I will not see my husband for a long time, I was totally bummed that Brandon would miss my birthday in August...oh and not only will he not be here but I will not be able to talk, email, video chat, or anything with him on that day. So the weekend before he left we went on a weekend get away as an early birthday celebration for me. Brandon surprised me with a night stay at the Chateau Avalon. We stayed in the Camelot Room, complete with a drawbridge and Knight's armor! Oh and did I mention he let me order room service dessert. On a side note I have to admit I love room service...if only it weren't so expensive:) On the the presents!! I got an Air Force scrapbook to work on while Brandon is gone, bath salts that are supposed to reduce stress (hmm he acts like I am emotional or something), antibacterial hand lotion (cause I am a germaphobe!), and finally the best present of all a voice recorder with messages to me to cheer me up on days when I am missing him! I have the best husband:)












Sadly this short message took me an hour to type, cause I kept deleting it on accident, so that is it for now but, stay tuned for my next post that I will TRY to put pictures of Brandon swearing in on!
