Our 1st week in the UK

Well we survived our first week here in the UK. It started out really nice the day we arrived at Lakenheath it was sunny and warm, the next day was the same. However we were introduced to true british weather the rest of the week! It was cold and rainy, and you didn't see even a hint of sun! Oh well at least all the rain maked everything nice and green. Unfortunately between me getting sick, and Brandon having endless briefings our first week has been rather uneventful! We are living in TLF, temporary living facility. We were supposed to get a room with a private bathroom, kitchen and, sitting area with a T.V. unfortunately for us the USAF is prejudice against couples without kids, so we got your standard hotel room instead. Pictures are posted at the end of the blog! We did get a private bathroom which is nice, because some rooms share a bathroom which I would have hated that! However we did not get a kitchen. Our room shared a microwave and fridge with an ajoining room. It was really hard for me to not be able to cook, and lets be honest microwave meals leave a lot to be desired! Although I am a bit frustrated that the military expects wives to be baby gumball machines, I am grateful that they at least provide temporary housing for everyone, it really is a blessing! I just really wanted a stove and a place to sit other than the bed! Oh well at least it is temporary. We did get word at the end of the week that there was base housing available for us, so we would only be in temporary housing for 2 weeks YAY. Unfortunately like I said before we were unable to get out much this first week, so no pictures of the area to show!

Here is where I spent my last 2 weeks...

Not too bad...but can't wait to have a home again!!!
