Although I know that dresses, and gift baskets are not the reason we celebrate Easter, but I'm human and got wrapped up in the secular parts of Easter...which included stalking the Easter Bunny on base! OK folks time for a side story before the rest of the pictures. So I saw on facebook that a friend of ours who has a daughter just a month younger than Torah had gotten a picture of their daughter with the Easter Bunny at the BX on base. So of COURSE I had to get a picture with my daughter too! So I asked around, checked on facebook, and basically bugged everyone I knew, and a few I didn't know, about where the Easter Bunny would be each day. Yet somehow no matter how hard I looked, and went places I always missed him. The I found out that he was going to at our base on Easter day for an egg hunt. Brandon was working so we had celebrated Easter a day early, but I dressed Torah up again in her new dress, grabbed my camera and went searching for that elusive bunny again! Alas it wasn't meant to be, he wasn't there! So in the end I failed in my mission to get a picture of Torah with the Easter Bunny. Oh well it was a great day.
(Pre-Easter nap, before mom bombarded her with pictures)
As I mentioned earlier Brandon had to work on Easter so we celebrated a day early, but it was still fun and so worth it when we got such great pictures of our little girl! It was so funny as soon as we put her dress on her she started smiling ear to ear! She loved the dress and the feel of the fabric, it was so funny! Both days as soon as she had the dress on she started just smiling! She cooperated with pictures for over 40 minutes before getting mad at me!
So a funny story about the sun glasses, we went to a nearby town called Bury St Edmunds to shop for a dress for Torah, we finally had agreed on one, Brandon sent me to the check out counter while he looked at something (I can't remember what). Anywho when I was checking out the cashier mentioned they were having a buy one get one half off sale, unfortuantely they didn't have much in Torahs size (at just past 2 months old she was still in newborn/tiny baby clothes), so I said sorry I hadn't seen anything else, and she pointed out the basket of baby glasses that once discounted were only 75 pence! So I checked to see if Brandon was paying attention, he wasn't so I bought them! He he he I waited until we were home to tell him I had bought something else then I put them on her! Of course she hated them and Brandon thought they were dumb, but I am a sucker for a deal :)
Since we couldn't spend Easter (the actual day) with Brandon we went to our neighbors for lunch, they had a big get together since none of us have family around here! It was really fun, just wish we could have gone as a family, oh well the life of a fire fighters wife :)
Hope everyone had a blessed day, like we did.
