Well saying I am a bit behind on my blog is a major understatement! I couldn't believe it when I realized my last post was when Torah was 7 weeks old, and today she is 7 months old! OOPS I have a ton of what i feel a good excuses but the truth of it is that Torah has just kept me too busy! I am hoping to get back to blogging regularly soon...however as I have over 5 months of catch up to do the posts might be fairly short in an attempt to catch up on life :)
Anyways, this is from mid March, when Brandon's parents made a trip to the UK, to meet their first grandchild! We mostly stayed around here, since I was still recovering...ok more like I was still too nervous to travel too much with Torah. However between Brandon and Phil, I was convinced to take a little day trip. We went to a castle and the beach. It has been so long (and Brandon is asleep so I can't ask) that I don't remember the name of either places, but at least I have pictures to share, even if I can't tell you the names!
First we hit the castle, it wasn't too big, but it was definitely a cool castle, but it was NOT stroller friendly so we took turns going in, so me and Brandon could walk around, and not leave our brand new stroller outside alone.
The beach was just a short drive from the castle, and I was excited to take Torah to the beach for the first time. The beach wasn't one of those beautiful white sand beaches, more dirt, rocks, and tons of shells, but it was still a beach and I loved it! The weather kinda cooperated, the rain held off, but it was very cold, so all in all not bad for the spring in England! The tide was very low, and it was a long ways out to reach the water, so on this trip we just walked in the sand and looked around a bit, but didn't stay too long.
Torah was all tuckered out by the time we headed home, she did pretty well for being her first outing, both her and mom ALMOST made it home before there were any tears or frustration (fyi the tears were from Torah...I might have had a little attitude by the end though).
Over all we had a really great trip, and enjoyed introducing/showing off Torah!
