Well as you all know by now, Brandon and I are excited about the arrival of our first child in February 2012. My due date is February 15th!!!! And no I am not hoping to go into labor a day early so I can have a valentines day baby! So far things are going very well. I had my 16 week (a little late) appointment today, and the doctor said everything looks good, and the baby still has a strong heartbeat. I don't think I will ever stop getting excited when I hear that sound. At 16 weeks the heartbeat is at 150...so people want to make any predictions on what the sex will be??? I can honestly say that I will be happy either way, but I do have a feeling it will be a girl. I have no reasons why, I just have a weird feeling it is. Either way my only concern is that the baby is healthy! I am FINALLY starting to feel good again, the morning sickness kicked my butt...oh and "morning" sickness my butt!!!! I was sick from about 9pm to 2pm (ish) every day! I tried several anti-nausea meds to help, although they all helped I had nasty side effects with everything but Unisom and Vitamin B6 pills...although I still got nauseous at times, I was able to eat a little and sleep in bed, instead of the bathroom floor! My worst day came right at 12 weeks, just when I was hoping to be getting past the sick feeling, and instead spent the whole day worshiping the porcelain throne! UGH
Well at 16 weeks I am happy to announce I am feeling little to no nausea, as long as I take the Unisom :) Other than that I can't complain, I am just so anxious to meet this little one!
I tried to scan some of my sonogram pics but I can't seem to work our scanner right and keep forgetting to remind Brandon to help me...maybe someday one of them will make their way onto the blog. At least I have a few baby bump pics to share with everyone. I am excited to finally start looking pregnant and not the in-between phase where people wonder is she fat, or pregnant???
I wont lie after all this time waiting for a positive test...I was shocked to finally get one! Brandon thought it was pretty weird of me to take a pic of the pee stick but since I am the one who writes the blog his opinion doesn't matter here :)
Around 11 weeks...this was the first time I let myself believe it was really the baby "bump" showing, not just bloating! ha ha ha
About 14ish weeks in these pics, and definitely starting to show!
At 15 weeks I felt the first flutters in my stomach, I wasn't sure if it was the baby, but then at almost 16 weeks I felt a definite thump in there and knew this time it was our baby giving me a little nudge! The coolest feeling ever!
Please continue to keep us all in your prayers, we are so excited about this little one, and feel so blessed!
