Windsor

The first "new" place we went to while Brandon's folks were here was Windsor Castle. We spent the morning touring the grounds, and were lucky to get the chance to go up into the tower. This is a tour that has never been offered before and they were just doing a 2 month trial with it to see if it was something they want to make a regular part of Windsor visits. The tour was probably my favorite part of the trip, since we have been to several castles now, this was at least something to make this visit a little more unique. We were able to get a great view from up top of the tower, the only stinky part was the 200 steep stairs you had to hike each way! Oh well worth it in the end!

OK so I might have lied, I think this was my favorite part of Windsor. Although I had seen the "beef eaters" before they had been in their other uniforms, the blue ones. I had been so disappointed because I really wanted to take a picture with them in the traditional red uniforms you see in books and on t.v. so that is me cheesing it up with the guard...I wanted to get closer but I thought that might be awkward!
