Hey all, I got my first real phone call from Brandon on Monday!!!! I say "real" because I have received two other calls from him both starting with " Hey Laura, it is Brandon, but this is not a personal call and can't talk..." followed by a quick message and an even quicker goodbye! So it was amazing to get to talk actually. We were given almost 15 minutes to just talk. Unfortunately we spent a big chunk of it talking about the whole insurance issue! He seems to be doing pretty good. It sucks there he says, but it is Boot camp so it is supposed to suck I guess. He really didn't share too much about what was going on there, he was more interested in what all I was up to. He did however let me know that his TI is not real generous with letting them write or call. He should (should being the key word) get either 1 call or 10 minutes to write one letter, each week, but probably nothing more...Oh well I will take whatever I can get!
I have had a very busy, and productive day off today. I met with a former General of the Army who now does Pro bono law for military families now. He is writing up power of attorney papers for me and sending them to Brandon, and said that if there are any issues to call him and he would call anyone I need him to! It was so great to finally feel like I had someone working for me and helping me! Other than that I ran a bunch of errands, and did some major packing...I am getting pretty good at it if I do say so myself :)
