Not 1, but 2 Letters :)

So on Tuesday I got a letter from Brandon. It was 2 whole pages! It was the best end to an already great day! He gave a rundown of the past 2 weeks, and the next 3 to come. On week 3 they got there uniforms, and as he said "that was the only exciting thing that week" . On week 4 they did the gas chamber, which he said sucked...ok slight duh on that one, if he had enjoyed it I would have been pretty nervous! He also got his first experience with MRE's (Meals Ready to Eat) and he said "they are awesome", now I am glad he enjoyed them, but I have had those before and I didn't think they were all that good. Also if he likes those then what does that say about my cooking skills???? The next day they did an obstacle course, which he said was fun, minus the 100+ degrees with humidity. This past week he played in another graduating classes graduation ceremony, a practice for his graduation in a few weeks (he is in the band flight for those who don't know)

In the next few weeks they have pugil stick fight ( which they get to hit each other with), then they do weapons qualifications, and finally get to shoot real guns (again he sounds too excited about that one!) Then next week they have BEAST, a war simulation in the field. The following week is final PT evaluations, and then week 8 is graduation!!!! Heck yeah, we are nearing the end of no communication land...well at least for now, I know it is the military and I will have many, many more occasions where I will have a lack of communication, but I am not thinking about it at this point!

Overall things seem to be going really well down there. At least as well as Basic Training can get! Thanks to everyone who has had us in their prayers. The last 6 weeks have flown by, thankfully. I hope the next few months do the same :)
